We must maintain management of the classroom at all time. We must maintain a level of professionalism.

I enjoyed this course. Retension is one of the most important parts of our job. We need our students to retain or what we are doing is pointless.

I liked this course but I am having a hard time associating what I learned there with the type of course I am teaching...

this class gave me some great ideas on how to take advantage of all the great technology we have at our finger tips. Im looking forward to trying some of the ideas out. Especially the desktop tutorials.

I am aware of the ways students learn but was very interested in the comment of others. Visual is very important but I have always been able to read and learn very sucessfully. So I will have to concentrate more on the other options that we can use to learn and to study my students more to see how each students is able to accomplish a task.

I thought this class was interesting. It really showed me how to focus on the class and what things not to do. I realized what category i fall into and was so happy to find that i didnt fall into the wrong one. Excellent choice for a instructor teaching to all different aged adults.

Hi Everyone,
This was a great class to understand the special needs of Adult students. It is important to be empathetic and be a "guide" by the side. I really liked the practical tips given. It is important to keep learning about classroom management style and understand that it is an "art." It is important to evolve as an instructor and keep learning.

I've studied much of this material before, but always find something important and relevant. As I teach adult learners, I am constantly reminded that they need to be able to focus on the relevance of the course material as well as the content. Teaching General Education in a career college is an additional challenge as my course is often seen as a requirement rather than a boost to their career choice. Knowing how to collect feedback from students, how to encourage different ways of learning, and how to keep the material fresh and challenging has helped me create more of a student centered course.

The amount of knowledge acquired from this course is relevant to what is seen in today's classrooms. I personally see how security and autonomy plays a big role in motivating the students to learn different concepts while fulfilling their intrinsic needs. I have used extrinsic motivators such as eliminating the worst quiz grade and I have provide them with multiple choices on presenting their work. There is a need to maintain a balance between providing the aforementioned and achieving the learning objectives.
